Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Sweet chocolate chip cookies.

This recipe yields about 24 cookies.
Ingredients
- Pastry flour, 150 g (1 cup)
- Baking powder, 1/2 tsp
- Salt, 1/8 tsp
- Granulated sugar, 150 g (3/4 cup)
- Egg (room temperature), 1 medium
- Unsalted butter (room temperature), 100 g (7 Tbsp)
- Vanilla extract, 1/4 tsp
- Dark chocolate chips, 100 g (1/2 cup)
Directions
- In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
- In another bowl, cream the butter with the paddle attachment of the hand mixer
- Add the sugar to the creamed butter and beat until light and fluffy
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat well
- With a spatula, carefully fold the flour mixture into the butter and egg mixture until just combined
- Fold in the chocolate chips
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper (allow some empty space between each cookie)
- Lightly wet your fingers and press each tablespoon of dough into a round flat shape
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C (350 F) for about 15 minutes until the edges of the cookies turn golden brown
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and leave to cool for about 5 minutes
- Carefully peel the cookies off the baking paper and place on a wire rack to cool

Serve at room temperature.
