Apple Crumble Recipe
Fruity apple crumble.
Home baked apple crumble
This recipe yields an apple crumble of about 8 servings.
Ingredients
Streusel topping:
- Cake flour, 150 g (1 cup)
- Granulated sugar, 150 g (3/4 cup)
- Unsalted butter (cold, cut into small pieces), 100 g (7 Tbsp)
Filling:
- Apple (washed, cored, and diced), 3 medium
- Brown sugar, 1 Tbsp
- Cinnamon (ground), 1/2 tsp
Directions
Streusel topping:
- In a bowl, mix together flour and sugar
- With your fingertips or a fork, rub the butter into the flour mixture until forming coarse crumbs
- Set aside
Apple crumble:
- In a bowl, mix the diced apples with the brown sugar and cinnamon
- Arrange the diced apples in a greased 23 cm x 20 cm rectangular oven dish and sprinkle with the streusel topping
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 35 minutes or until the streusel topping is golden brown
How to serve
Serve warm or at room temperature.
