Apple Crumble Recipe

Fruity apple crumble.

This recipe yields an apple crumble of about 8 servings.

Ingredients

Streusel topping:

  • Cake flour, 150 g (1 cup)
  • Granulated sugar, 150 g (3/4 cup)
  • Unsalted butter (cold, cut into small pieces), 100 g (7 Tbsp)

Filling:

  • Apple (washed, cored, and diced), 3 medium
  • Brown sugar, 1 Tbsp
  • Cinnamon (ground), 1/2 tsp

Directions

Streusel topping:

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour and sugar
  2. With your fingertips or a fork, rub the butter into the flour mixture until forming coarse crumbs
  3. Set aside

Apple crumble:

  1. In a bowl, mix the diced apples with the brown sugar and cinnamon
  2. Arrange the diced apples in a greased 23 cm x 20 cm rectangular oven dish and sprinkle with the streusel topping
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 35 minutes or until the streusel topping is golden brown

How to serve

Serve warm or at room temperature.
