Almond flavored apple pie
This recipe yields a pie of about 8 servings.
Ingredients
- , 400 g
- Apple (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced), 4 medium
- Granulated sugar, 20 g (1 1/2 Tbsp)
Method
- a 30 cm pie crust
- Spread the almond cream evenly over the bottom of the pie crust
- Arrange the apple slices on top of the almond cream
- Sprinkle the sugar on top of the apple slices
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 40 minutes or until the almond cream is set and the apple slices are golden brown at the edges
- Cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil in case the pie crust gets too dark
- Carefully remove the tart from the pie pan and place on a wire rack to cool
- Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
